Based in the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, SYNTHESIS is a center for the development of social entrepreneurship and a learning events provider. 

We are working to promote social entrepreneurship and social innovation through training, research, motivational speaking, and promotional events. In view of promoting social entrepreneurship across the divided island and reaching both Greek and Turkish Cypriots, we operate an office in the United Nations’ “buffer zone” of the capital, Nicosia.

Our learning events aim to inspire and empower participants. We are delivering entrepreneurial training programmes for young people, consisting of personal development and entrepreneurial modules. We are also running an in-service training course for European teachers, trainers, and adult educators on “Inspiring and Enabling Entrepreneurship in Education.” 

More than ten years ago, we designed and run the project “Social skills and Healthier self-Esteem” (SHE), a milestone project in adult education. The project—which aimed to enable women to build a healthier self esteem by participating in social learning circles—was perhaps the first European project to raise the importance of self-esteem and the need for including it in the educational system.

Since then, we have come a long way and have participated in numerous projects on empowerment, employment, social inclusion and entrepreneurship.

In the current decade, we are focusing on actions that can empower people, improve social inclusion, and have a green and sustainable effect on the planet we live in.  Last but not least, we are active in sharing with others our passion for social entrepreneurship and transmitting its spirit for social change and a better world.

Founded by George Isaias, Synthesis is dedicated to the development and promotion of Social Entrepreneurship in Cyprus.
